Cookie policy

What cookies Mosaferin uses, why we use them, and how you can control your choices.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They let a site remember things about your visit, such as your language and currency, and help site owners understand how their service is used. We also use similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, and we refer to all of these together as "cookies" in this policy.

This policy is provided for information and is not legal advice. It explains the cookies Mosaferin uses and the choices you have.

2. Why we use cookies

We use cookies to run the site, to remember your preferences, and, where you agree, to understand how the service is used and to measure our marketing. Strictly necessary cookies are always on, because the site cannot work properly without them. All other cookies load only after you agree through our consent banner.

3. Categories of cookies we use

We group cookies into four categories. You can accept or reject each optional category through the consent banner.

  • Strictly necessary: needed to run the service, such as remembering your consent choices, keeping you signed in, balancing load, and protecting against abuse. These are always active and cannot be turned off.
  • Preferences: remember settings such as your chosen language (including right-to-left languages) and currency, so you do not have to set them each time.
  • Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Where you consent, these may include Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Microsoft Clarity.
  • Marketing: help us measure and improve our campaigns and reach relevant audiences. Where you consent, these may include Meta Pixel, TikTok, and Pinterest.

5. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third parties that provide analytics and marketing tools on our behalf, such as Google (GA4 and GTM), Microsoft (Clarity), Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest. These providers may use the data they collect under their own privacy and cookie policies.

When you continue to a travel provider to make a booking, you leave Mosaferin, and that provider may set its own cookies, which are outside our control.

6. How long cookies last

Cookies last for different lengths of time, depending on their purpose.

  • Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or you delete them, so we can remember choices such as your consent settings, language, and currency across visits.
  • Analytics and marketing cookies typically expire within a set period, after which they are refreshed only if you continue to consent.

7. Managing cookies in your browser

In addition to our consent banner, most browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies through their settings. You can usually choose to block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or clear cookies that are already stored.

Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of Mosaferin from working properly, such as staying signed in or remembering your preferences.

8. Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for how to respond to these signals, so we rely on the choices you make through our consent banner and your browser settings to control optional cookies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time as we add or change tools or as the law evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, ask for your consent again.

10. Contact us

If you have questions about our use of cookies, please reach us through our help centre. Mosaferin is operated by Opes Terra FZCO.
