How much is the deposit, and how does it work?
Most suppliers pre-authorise a deposit on your credit card at pick-up to cover the insurance excess, released when you return the car undamaged. We show the deposit amount on each offer so you know what to expect before you book.
Are there extra fees for young drivers?
Drivers under 25 (sometimes under 21) often pay a young-driver surcharge, charged per day at the desk. We flag these fees up front where suppliers provide them so you can compare the true total cost.
What fuel policy should I choose?
Full-to-full is almost always the fairest: you collect the car full and return it full, paying only for what you use. Avoid full-to-empty deals, which charge you for a full tank up front and rarely refund what you don’t use.
Can I pick up and drop off in different locations?
Yes, many suppliers offer one-way hire so you can pick up in one city and drop off in another. A one-way fee may apply, which we include in the all-in price so you can compare it fairly.
